When testing for Herpes, it is highly recommended that you retest. The cultured lesion may no longer be in an active cycle, giving you a false negative. If your test is positive:
get treatment, finish the treatment and tell your partner(s) to get tested so they can be treated. Don't have sexual contact until your and their treatment is complete.
